Mitchell School District’s one-to-one computing program has pushed traditional lesson plans to a new level.

Challenge

Mitchell wanted to ensure that the program was set up to have a powerful impact on learning and that the district had technology equipment they could depend on to form the background of the initiative.

Solution

Mitchell School District established a one-to-one computing program using DellTM  LatitudeTM  notebooks. A cohort of teachers was trained by Dell to help other teachers in their schools learn to integrate computer use in the classroom. The district also utilizes Dell PowerEdgeTM  servers and Dell OptiplexTM  desktops on the back-end to support information management and communication.

 Benefit

The program has had a transformative effect on education in the district. Through the use of technology, students are taking ownership of their learning and teachers have greater resources to help leverage knowledge.
